AutoTrader and the OLX Group have had their merger agreement in South Africa approved by local authorities.
This sees AutoTrader now form part of the Naspers group.
“By joining forces they bring substantial benefits to the South African vehicle market,” said the companies.
“We are excited to work with the OLX Group that is part of a global company. Our customers can stand to benefit substantially,” said AutoTrader CEO George Mienie.
AutoTrader will remain a separate brand, it stated.
AutoTrader turned 25 this year, and recently ended the publication of its print magazine.
AutoTrader was visited by 1.83 million unique South African browsers in October, making it the 9th biggest website in the country as measured by Effective Measure.
