Qualcomm accuses Apple of more patent infringement

Qualcomm has filed a complaint stating that Apple has used 16 of its patents in its iPhones.

Apple declined to comment on the new complaint, reported Reuters. Apple has said it develops its technology and patents to power its iPhones.

Qualcomm first sued Apple for patent infringement in July, when it alleged that Apple infringed on six patents.

The company also tried to get certain versions of the iPhone blocked from being sold in the US.

Apple first sued Qualcomm in January, refusing to pay around $1 billion in rebates, stating that Qualcomm was overcharging for its chips and charging royalties for technologies it did not control.

Qualcomm then brought a countersuit against Apple for crippling iPhones with Qualcomm chips.
