Samsung plans to double the annual revenue from its African businesses in the next five years, reported Reuters.
This will bring the annual revenue contribution for Samsung from Africa to 20%.
The head of Samsung Africa, Sung Yoon, said the company’s products make up half of the smartphones and televisions sold in African countries like Kenya.
Yoon said they plan to set up shops and retail channels in more African countries to cut delivery times.
He said the demand for large TV and smartphone screens are driving demand for Samsung products in Africa.
