Naicker’s professional journey began in the banking industry, before transitioning into the insurance sector when he was appointed as a Legal Recoveries Advisor at Telesure.

In the years which followed, Naicker progressed to senior management roles in the claims environment – culminating in him being appointed as the CEO of SIAS in 2010.

SIAS merged with OUTsurance in 2015, and Burton was appointed as OUTsurance Chief Operating Officer. He then joined MiWay as its CEO in 2022.

Naicker has also served as a director on the board of the South African Insurance Crime Bureau since 2015.
