New CEO at Vox Telecom

Douglas Reed and Angus MacRobert have stepped down as co-CEOs of Vox Telecom, and Vox Orion CEO Jacques du Toit has taken over as Vox Telecom CEO effective 1 January 2013.

The Vox Telecom board explained that it has been informed that MacRobert wished to pursue his own personal interests in 2013 and as a result the two parties have agreed that MacRobert will leave the employ of Vox Telecom at the end of January.

MacRobert is a shareholder in various businesses, including Afrihost, Axxess, three6five network solutions and Wantitall.

Reed will stay on at Vox Telecom as part of the executive team to drive strategy, special products and product development. “This new position suits me down to the ground,” said Reed.

Reed said that management changes will not impact the business or the management team negatively.

“The current unfavourable conditions in the telecommunications sector and economy at large work to our advantage because our competition is in the same environment and they do not have the advantage of such a competent and dedicated team,” said Reed.

Reed added that du Toit’s energy, dynamism, attention to detail and overall management skills will ensure Vox Telecom is more robust and will provide the platform for the company to compete effectively and to grow.
