Telkom senior staff appointments, misuse of funds complaint

Bloomberg has reported that Telkom staff members sent a letter of complaint to company secretary Xoliswa Makasi, complaining about the misuse of funds and how the company appointed some senior managers.
The group of employees, calling themselves the “The Group of 6 Telkom Whistle-blowers/employees”, said that Telkom has a culture of silencing employees. They added that the official corruption line at Telkom is not trusted.
The group wants the allegations to be investigated, and action taken if they prove to be accurate.
Telkom confirmed that they received the letter, but urged the complainants to use official company channels.
