Brian Herhily back as Seacom CEO

Seacom announced in a press statement on Thursday, 6 February 2014, that CEO Mark Simpson has decided to leave the company to pursue personal interests.

“Mark has lead the business from a successful project finance initiative into a dynamic broadband subsea cable operator,” Seacom said.

Founder and original CEO of Seacom, Brian Herlihy, has agreed to assume the leadership role at at the undersea cable operator.

Seacom said that given his role in establishing the company, Herlihy knows the business well and is tasked with continuing the expansion of Seacom into Africa and beyond.
