Massive Cell C data price cut
Cell C has announced that it has slashed the price of its once-off 2.4GB data bundle, and increased the data allocation on its Infinity Select contract.
From Sunday, 7 December 2014, Cell C customers who sign up for an Infinity Select contract will get the product’s unlimited calls and SMS messages to any local network, along with an increased data cap of 10GB per month.
Subscribers will receive 10GB of data per month for the duration of the contract, with the promotion available to new customers until 15 March 2015.
Infinity Select is available as a SIM-only plan for R999 per month, with contracts that include smartphones available for R1,399 per month.
Cell C also announced that it is discounting the price of its 2.4GB prepaid data bundle (200MB per month for 12 months) from R189 to R79.
Should subscribers want more data monthly, they can simply top up with data bundles, Cell C said.
This promotion will also be available from Sunday, and run until 31 January 2015.
Due to popular demand, Cell C CEO Jose Dos Santos said the network operator will also extend its free WhatsApp and MegaBonus promotions.
“WhatsApp that offers our customers zero data charges when using the application will now be extended until the end of March 2015 for all qualifying plans, and the MegaBonus promotion which offers four times the value of the recharge will now be available to customers until 31 December 2014,” Dos Santos said.
