I hate to break it to you, but you’re probably getting nailed

Tariffic has announced the “pre-launch” of its cellphone contract optimisation site which is aimed at individual subscribers.

Until now, the company has focussed on optimising the mobile contract spend of corporates.

“I hate to break it to you, but you’re probably getting ****ed,” the YouTube video introducing the new service starts.

“There’s a good chance you’re wasting your cash, paying way too much month after month for a cellphone contract that doesn’t suit you.”

Getting started on the site is free, with Tariffic performing an optimisation and telling you how much money a better contract can save you per month.

You can then choose to pay R149 (or R99 if you’re in the pre-launch group) to get the full optimisation report.

To use the service, you will need to upload your itemised cellphone bill to Tariffic – which will then produce an average of your monthly usage and make recommendations based on that.

“We’ll also show you some cool analytics such as who you call the most and how you use your cellphone. For free,” said Tariffic.

You can then decide whether to pay for the full savings report.

The report will contain the best contracts for you on Vodacom, MTN, Cell C, and Telkom, as well as the optimal bundles to add.

“We’ll also show you exactly how much you can expect to pay each month.”
