Cheapest cellular deals in South Africa

Cellular bill optimisation company Tariffic has launched the latest version of its Perfect Package Tracker, revealing the cheapest cellular contracts in South Africa.

Tariffic CEO Anthony Seeff said that after months of major changes in South Africa’s mobile space, local network operators have been quiet this quarter.

For that reason, they decided to focus on mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) and compared their deals to the best contracts the operators have on offer.

Seeff said MVNOs are shaking up the cellular industry, competing in a big way with the operators.

Deals from Virgin Mobile, FNB Connect, me&you mobile, and Mr. P Mobile were all compared. It should be noted that these virtual operators all use Cell C’s mobile network.

Tariffic highlighted the following:

  • In 4 out of the 5 cases, the MVNOs performed better than the best network.
  • The packages surveyed do not come with a phone.
