The most popular mobile operator among South African techies
MyBroadband recently conducted its Smartphone and Tablet survey, which showed that Vodacom is the most popular mobile operator among South African IT professionals.
The survey was completed by 2,639 respondents, most of whom were IT professionals, IT managers, and general techies.
This influential group is well versed in the latest smartphone technologies, and influences the purchasing decisions of their companies, family members, and friends.
The survey results show that most IT professionals use Vodacom as their primary mobile operator, followed by MTN, Cell C, and Telkom.
Few people use service providers like Afrihost, Axxess, MWEB, or Virgin Mobile for their primary mobile phone, as shown in the chart below.
