Vodacom announces launch date of iPhone 4
When Apple announced the iPhone 4 they also announced the roll-out plan of 18 countries in July and 24 in August, but South Africa wasn’t among the countries listed.
After Vodacom confirmed that they would be bringing the iPhone 4 to South Africa speculation abounded regarding when it would reach our shores.
In a tweet posted this afternoon, Pieter Uys, CEO of Vodacom, confirmed that the cellular operator plans on launching the device at the end of September.
South Africans can also expect to see an official local launch announcement for the Samsung Galaxy S soon. According to Uys, Vodacom has just received stock of Samsung’s flagship Android smartphone.
