Leaked MTN iPhone 4 pricing incorrect: MTN

MTN and Vodacom are both set to launch the iPhone 4 at two separate events at midnight. Both operators have been very secretive about the pricing of Apple’s latest iteration of the iPhone, however.

Pricing guidelines started to emerge online over the last few days, and earlier today a Twitter picture contained what looked like MTN’s full contract price list leaked for the iPhone 4: http://twitpic.com/2qlqu0.

MTN has however warned that the info is not correct. “The information you have sent to MTN is incorrect,” said Serame Taukobong, Chief Marketing Officer, MTN SA. “MTN will release the correct information in line with our Apple time line [00:00 on Wednesday morning].”

Vodacom’s pricing is also still under wraps, but according to a well-placed source the iPhone 4 won’t initially be available on Pay As You Go from Vodacom.

The company however looks set to offer the new Apple 16GB iPhone free of charge on Talk 500 and Talk 1000 packages.
