Police are on the hunt for four robbers who stole cellphones worth R1 million from a Vodacom shop at a Centurion mall on Thursday, police said.

Two of them entered the store in the Mall@Reds pushing a trolley and wearing T-shirts with the logos of cellphone brands as staff were opening up for the day around 08:40, Captain Augustinah Selepe said.

They held staff at gunpoint and ordered them to put cellphones into bags.

One of the men was wearing a Vodacom T-shirt with jeans and a blue cap. A second man was wearing an LG T-shirt, a black jacket, black pants, and a hat.

The four fled in a blue Toyota Corolla and another car. Police were examining surveillance camera footage and appealed to members of the public to come forward with information about the robbery.
