Vodacom has rolled out its LTE-Advanced service to three more sites, two in the Western Cape and one in KwaZulu-Natal, which brings its LTE-A coverage to 8 sites.
Last month Vodacom announced that it had switched on its LTE-A service at Vodacom World in Midrand; Gautrain Station platforms in Sandton, Rosebank, and Park; and the Brooklyn Mall in Pretoria.
The performance of Vodacom’s LTE-A service is impressive, with typical download speeds exceeding 100Mbps.
Vodacom has now brought LTE-A to three more sites:
- Camps Bay (WC)
- Mount Road (WC)
- Marginella (KZN)
“The deployment of 8 LTE-A sites is still part of our project to show what can be achieved with the Vodacom LTE-Advanced network once spectrum is made available,” the company said.
