FNB Connect has told subscribers on its uncapped LTE service that it is extending the trial until the end of June 2016.
The trial was initially scheduled to end on 29 February, but was extended until the end of March.
This latest extension will be the last, said FNB, and the service will not be available after 30 June 2016.
FNB’s uncapped LTE service runs on iBurst, which Multisource acquired in November. iBurst rolled out a test LTE network on its 1,800Mhz frequency spectrum.
Neither FNB nor Multisource have revealed any details about a potential commercial uncapped LTE offering, stating that they will release details in due course.
