HTC Wildfire for R99 per month
Following on from last week’s BlackBerry smartphone deal, Altech Autopage Cellular yesterday launched another smartphone special offer, this time featuring the HTC Wildfire.
Available from 1 December to 5 December, new Altech Autopage Cellular subscribers can get the HTC Wildfire smartphone on a 24-month MTN Anytime 100 contract for just R99 per month.
“This is the second premium smartphone deal we’re bringing to market at under R100,” said Boyd Chislett, Managing Director of Altech Autopage Cellular.
The R99 HTC deal is the second of five “killer deals” announced every week that Altech Autopage Cellular is launching over the holiday season.
About the HTC Wildfire
The Wildfire is considered to be an evolution of the HTC Tattoo. The phones are similar, but the Wildfire has more RAM, more megapixels (MP) and autofocus on the camera, as well as a larger and capacitive touch screen.
According to HTC the Wildfire has the following specifications:
- Weighs 118g with the battery installed
- 3.2” QVGA (240×320) capacitive touch screen
- Android 2.1 (Éclair) with HTC Sense
- 528 MHz processor
- 512 MB ROM, 384 MB RAM
- Supports microSD up to 32 GB
- 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash
- 3G: 7.2 Mbps downlink, 384 kbps uplink
- Wi-Fi b/g support, Bluetooth 2.1, internal GPS antenna
