MTN airtime advance launched
MTN has launched Xtra Time, which lets prepaid and top-up subscribers receive an airtime advance when their balance runs low.
The credit can be used like a recharge to make voice calls, buy data or SMS bundles, access value added services, or transfer airtime.
Airtime that was advanced is recovered when the customer tops up their account, with the credit owed debited from the airtime bought.
MTN subscribers can use MTN’s web portal, or dial the USSD short code *141*2#, to access the service.
MTN’s systems will credit score you to ascertain your eligibility.
Customers with unsettled advances are barred from using the service until their previous advance is fully repaid.
Where airtime credit is outstanding, the customer is advised of their debt and requested to settle their advance.
