MTN zero-rates online curriculum access for university students

South Africa’s university students can now access their online curriculum without incurring data costs, MTN has announced.

MTN will zero-rate access to university online content, following similar announcements by Cell C and Telkom today.

“To date, students from the University of Cape Town and University of Pretoria will benefit from this initiative,” said MTN.

“MTN is appealing to other institutions of higher learning to tap into this initiative by providing their URL addresses.”

MTN did not provide details on how the zero-rated service will work.
