Afrihost Mobile network emergency maintenance
Afrihost will perform emergency maintenance on its mobile network between midnight and 05:00 tomorrow morning (25 October), the company told subscribers in a text message.
Afrihost offers cellular services as a mobile virtual network operator on MTN’s network in South Africa.
“There may be intermittent mobile data connectivity outages during this period,” said Afrihost.
Afrihost also published a maintenance notice on its website, which differed to the SMS notification:
Our Network Team will be performing scheduled maintenance on our Mobile Network between 01:00AM and 05:00AM on the morning of Tuesday 25 October 2016. There may be intermittent mobile data connectivity during this period. Thank you for your understanding.
Afrihost was asked about the maintenance and its start time, but the company did not reply by the time of publication.
