Numerous Vodacom subscribers are lashing out at the mobile operator, saying that their airtime and data disappeared unexpectedly.
Vodacom was trending on Twitter on Monday night, with users complaining about missing data, airtime depleting for no apparent reason, and a lack of help from the mobile operator.
“Vodacom is having a party with my data today. It’s actually so crazy. Unless killing 2gig in 10mins is possible?” said one user.
“Vodacom keeps taking my data & airtime as soon as I recharge. It’s happened three times now. What’s going on?” said another.
Several other comments referenced the same issue and demanded that the mobile operator take action.
Vodacom said it was aware that certain customers were unable to make use of purchased bundles, and that subscribers were getting depletion notifications.
The operator apologised for the inconvenience caused, and said its technicians are working on resolving the error.
It has also committed to ensuring that all affected customers are refunded in full.
