DStv Mobile comes to BlackBerry
DStv Mobile will be launching a public beta of the BlackBerry application for their Drifta devices today (22 November 2011).
The mobile broadcaster warned that it couldn’t guarantee minimum performance as the application was still in beta and added that customer feedback on the beta version is important to them.
To collect bug reports and comments from users, DStv Mobile has set up a feedback form where users can inform them of errors or give their suggestions on how to improve the application.
This beta release of the application is compatible with the following BlackBerry devices, DStv Mobile revealed:
- Bold 9000
- Bold 9700
- Curve 8520
- Curve 8900
- Curve 9300
The application comes with a disclaimer typical to a beta release which states: “DStv Mobile indemnifies itself from any loss or damage that may occur to any devices as a result of downloading the beta version of the DStv Mobile Decoder Drifta application for select BlackBerry devices.”
According to DStv Mobile, a beta version of the software is being released because BlackBerry users have expressed interest in the service and it would like to include subscribers’ input into the product.
DStv Mobile said that it is also working closely with BlackBerry maker Research in Motion to ensure a good user experience.
