MTN network problems
Numerous consumers are complaining about apparent problems on the MTN network. MyBroadband has also received complaints from various users which indicated that they are experiencing problems using the MTN network.
One user says that he cannot get through to any MTN numbers. Another experienced a total outage on his MTN services.
Twitter and Facebook are also awash with complaints about MTN downtime. The problems seem to be mainly situated in the East of Johannesburg.
One user on Facebook said that “Just in case you’re wondering…apparently the MTN server in Germiston has crashed and so there is no signal in the East Rand.” This information could not be confirmed.
MTN was contacted for information, but the company could not immediately be reached for comment.
