Cell C cuts on-net rates
Cell C has launched its "Something to Smile About" discount, which offers 27% less on peak Cell C to Cell C calls for prepaid and Controlchat users during the week.
"In these days of soaring inflation and interest rates and spiralling food prices, we recognise that it’s not easy out there and many consumers are feeling the financial pinch," comments Simon Camerer, Cell C’s executive head: marketing.
"The ‘Something to smile about’ discount is a further building block in cementing our stature as a company that always provides exceptional value for money. Our customers responded magnificently to the previous promotions: ‘Workers’ month’, which offered prepaid and Controlchat users a 20% discount during peak time, and the ‘Woza Weekend’ offer, which provides Cell C subscribers free weekend calls if they have recharged during the week."
Camerer is confident that customers will be keen to take advantage of this discount, particularly since it is applicable at peak times, from 07:00 to 20:00, when people make most use of their cellphones.
The "Something to Smile About" discount will apply from 1 July to 31 August 2008.
“The number of customers taking advantage of the offer has been increasing steadily from day one and is expected to break all records by the end of August 2008,” Cell C said.
