Samsung Galaxy Beam announced
Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Beam – an Android-based smartphone with a built-in projector – at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) trade show this past Sunday.
The device’s main feature is a 15-Lumens projector built into the top of the smartphone – capable of displaying photos, videos and text on a variety of surfaces.
Samsung claims the device can display clearly, even in outdoor environments, and is capable of projecting content up to 50 (126cm) inches wide.
Other tech specs are run-of-the-mill: the device runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread – and features a 1GHz dual-core processor; 5 Megapixel rear facing camera; 768MB of RAM; 8GB of built in memory; and a 12.5mm thickness.
