BlackBerry Bold 9700 gets OS6 update

BlackBerry users who still have a Bold 9700 smartphone can look forward to a number of new features via a software update.

Updating the Bold 9700 to the BlackBerry OS6 software brings the following features to the device:

• Faster web browsing: The update brings tabbed browsing to the BlackBerry internet browser, with RIM claiming that web pages will now load faster.
• Easily searchable content: Messages, applications and multimedia are now searchable in one location on the device.
• Updated social feeds: BlackBerry OS6 updates how the device handles social network feeds. Users can now include social networks like Facebook and Twitter in a single feed.

Users who wish to update their BlackBerry to the latest software can connect their device to a computer via USB, visit the BlackBerry update site, and click the “Check for Updates” button.
