Cell C announces two executive promotions
Cell C has announced the promotion of Zia Sadik to Executive Head: Growth and Retentions, and Denver Alwar as the new Executive Head: Regional Operations.
Sadik joined Cell C in August 2022 as head of customer value management (CVM). His position as Growth and Retentions executive is a newly-created role.
He will report directly to the chief growth officer, who has not been appointed yet.
Cell C said its chief growth officer would be disclosed next year.
“Since joining Cell C in August 2022, he has played a pivotal role in revitalising the CVM function and implemented streamlined governance structures, restructured teams, and clarified roles and responsibilities,” Cell C said.
“He delivered simplified portfolios, overseen crucial systems migration, and bolstered our CVM capabilities, which has contributed to revenue growth.”

Alwar joined Cell C in January as the executive head of sales, distribution, and regions.
In his new role as Regional Operations executive head, Alwar will report directly to the as-yet unannounced Chief Sales, Distribution, and Regions Officer, who is set to join Cell C next year.
“Denver brings extensive leadership experience and excellent credentials in telecoms sales and distribution, spanning Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East, coupled with a robust operational background in the Retail and FMCG sectors and strong commercial capability,” Cell C stated.
“Significant strides have been made in Denver’s tenure to institute rigour in driving sales with a robust focus on forming winning partnerships with our distribution channels.”
