Vodacom broadband specials to end; good news from MTN, Cell C
Vodacom’s mobile data promotions and its “Power Hour” promotion will end on 31 July 2012, but MTN will continue to run its R149 for 2GB special “until further notice”. Cell C has also extended its data promotions and will announce “some exciting changes” to its promotion soon.
Vodacom is currently running a mobile data promotion where it offers subscribers 1GB, 2GB, and 3GB data bundles at significantly reduced rates. This promotion will end on 31 July 2012.
Vodacom’s Power Hour promotion, where the company offers subscribers 60 minutes of on-net calls between 6am and 6pm on weekdays for R5, will also end on 31 July 2012.
Good news for consumers is that MTN has extended its R149 for 2GB special until further notice, which means that customers will still be able to purchase the promotion after the end of July. MTN previously planned to end the promotion tomorrow (31 July 2012).
Further good news for consumers is that Cell C has extended its current mobile broadband promotions to 30 September 2012. Cell C is also set to announce “some exciting changes to the promotion” soon.
It is understood that Cell C is set to make an announcement related to its data promotions as soon as tomorrow.
