Nokia Lumia 900 launched on Vodacom: Pricing
The flagship Windows Phone 7 device from Finnish phone maker, Nokia, has been launched on Vodacom, the network tweeted on Friday (17 August 2012); this, despite the network previously saying that it would not get the device.
MTN launched the Nokia Lumia 900 towards the end of June, giving it just over a month’s exclusivity with the device.
Nokia first announced an LTE version of the device at CES in January 2012, but unveiled an HSPA model at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on 27 February 2012.
The device boasts a 4.3-inch 480×800 capacitive touch display, 42Mbps HSPA+ support, 8 megapixel camera, and 1.4GHz processor and Adreno 205 GPU using the Qualcomm APQ8055 Snapdragon chip.

Microsoft announced Windows Phone 8, a new version of its mobile operating system, the day after the official launch event for the Nokia Lumia 900 was held in South Africa.
Older Windows Phone devices, such as the Lumia 900, will not receive an official upgrade to Windows Phone 8. Instead Microsoft will release Windows Phone 7.8, a new version of Windows Phone 7, for existing users.
