MTN Mahala Thursdays returns
MTN has revived Mahala Thursdays, a promotion in which MTN Pre-paid and TopUp customers who recharge their airtime balance with a minimum of R10 automatically receive an additional 50% of the value loaded on their account.
MTN said that Mahala Thursdays received a great response from MTN customers when it was introduced in March 2012.
“The success of Mahala Thursdays is testament to the fact that we are in tune with the needs and demands of our customers for more value,” said Serame Taukobong, Chief Marketing Officer at MTN SA.
To qualify for the Mahala Thursdays promotion, customers need to recharge with a minimum cumulative value of R10.00 on Thursdays. The benefit will only apply once the customer has loaded a minimum of R10.
- Me2U transfers and receipts will not qualify for the free value, and the free airtime cannot be transferred via Me2U.
- Only airtime recharges qualify for the offer, therefore data bundle and SMS bundle voucher loads are excluded.
- The free airtime will also not qualify for loyalty points, and customers can only use the free airtime giveback on MTN to MTN calls, SMSs and Internet usage.
- The free airtime giveback will expire on the same day (Thursday) at 23:59.
