Vodacom seeks quick solution to strike action

Vodacom has reached an impasse with one of their workers’ unions CWU and are now seeking outside help from a mediator to try and resolve the issues quickly.

This move may by partly due to threats from CWU that all their members would port to another provider.

A joint statement issued by the President of the CWU, Joe Chauke and CEO of Vodacom, Alan Knott-Craig, announces that both parties have agreed to appoint a mediator, Charles Nuppen, to “facilitate a speedy resolution to the current impasse between Vodacom and the CWU.”
