New Telkom Mobile, 8ta number range

Telkom Mobile (aka 8ta) has been allocated the 061 number range today (23 April 2013), complementing its existing 081 number range.

Telkom Mobile customers will be assigned a number in one of the following ranges:

• 081 100 0000 to 081 599 9999
• 081 700 0000 to 081 799 9999
• 061 400 0000 to 061 499 9999

This new number range is a strong sign of Telkom’s continued plans to significantly grow its mobile subscriber base.

Telkom Mobile head Attila Vitai said that Telkom Mobile is the future of Telkom. According to Vitai, he and many of his colleagues believe that all of Telkom will look like the mobile arm in future, and that Telkom Mobile is the growth engine of the company.
