New MTN default prepaid price plan

MTN Pay Per Second, previously known as MTN One4All, has become the new default MTN prepaid price plan for new MTN Pay As You Go customers, the network announced in a press release on Friday (21 February 2014).

This price plan lets subscribers call for 2c per second to any network, at any time of day, MTN said.

“There’s no catch, no hidden costs,” MTN said.

Existing users can sign up for MTN Pay per Second by dialling *141*4*4#. Customers that buy a new MTN Starter pack will receive 20% free airtime on their airtime recharge value, while stocks last.

MTN Call Per Second, which is the current MTN Prepaid default price plan will now become a “legacy price plan,” MTN said, and no new activations or migrations will be allowed onto this price plan.

Another plan to get a name change is MTN Zone, which will henceforth be called MTN Zone Per Second, the network operator said.

MTN went on to promise that the Zone per Second plan will now let customers “enjoy even more 100% discounts on calls and SMSs than ever before”.

The discounts offered on MTN Zone per Second will depend on the time of day and the user’s location, MTN said.

“Customers can dial *141*4*2# to move to MTN Zone Per Second or dial *135# anytime to check the discounts available to them,” MTN said.
