Google is cutting the price of using its Nvidia Tesla GPUs through its Compute Engine.

It said prices will be reduced by up to 36%.

K80 GPUs will now cost $0.45 per hour in the US, while the newer P100 machines will cost $1.46 per hour. All prices are billed per-second.

Google is also cutting the price of its preemptible local SSDs by almost 40% (SSDs attached to Google’s preemptible VMs).

“We hope that the price reduction on Nvidia Tesla GPUs and preemptible Local SSDs unlocks new opportunities and helps you solve more interesting business, engineering, and scientific problems,” said Google.
