Apple revamps iCloud web interface

Apple has released an iCloud web beta with a revamped design that presents far more information and features a customisable tile layout, Engadget reports.

It also features app launchers on the home page and in the menu bar, making it easier to switch between apps and quickly start tasks.

Apple’s web redesign for iCloud also improved access to Apple’s premium cloud features, including custom email domains and Hide My Email.

The Cupertino-based tech company added a “Data Recovery” tool to let users recover bookmarks, contacts, calendars, and iCloud Drive files deleted within the last month.

Users will also have the option to restore iCloud Drive files from specific moments in time.

iCloud users will still have to control some features, including HomeKit Secure Video, Private Relay, and Family Sharing, through their Apple hardware.

Apple says the revamped iCloud web app is designed for customers with only one device that uses its ecosystem, letting them easily access and manage services through their computer’s web browser.

The tech giant has yet to announce when the new iCloud web interface will leave beta testing.
