In this What’s Next with Aki Anastasiou interview, Dr Angus Hay — Africa Data Centres’ Regional Executive for South Africa — discusses the company’s new data halls in Cape Town.
He began his leadership journey in the telecommunications industry when he was appointed as the CTO of Transtel from 2001 until 2006.
He then joined Neotel at the company’s inception, where he served as CTO.
When Liquid Telecom acquired Neotel, Hay headed up many of Liquid Telecom’s data centre expansion projects.
He now oversees the commercial and operational development of Africa Data Centres’ facilities in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Hay has also served as the West Africa Cable System (WACS) Management Committee Chair and was the president of the SAIEE from 2010 until 2011.
