Luno announced that it has reached two million customers across its global operations.
Luno operates in over 40 countries, including South Africa, and has regional hubs in London, Singapore, and Cape Town.
The company earned the title of fastest-growing UK tech startup of 2018 and has seen continued growth in South Africa and abroad.
Luno offers local users the ability to trade fiat for Bitcoin and Ethereum, along with an online wallet system.
Luno CEO Marcus Swanepoel said that reaching two million customers is a significant achievement for the company.
“We strongly believe that by making Bitcoin more accessible through education and by offering a user-friendly, safe platform more and more people across the globe can benefit from a better financial system,” said Swanepoel.
Luno said it also plans to open new offices in London and Johannesburg in the near future, and grow its global team.
