Tesla to launch Powerwall 2

Tesla will launch “version 2” of its Powerwall in late 2016, according to a report by Engadget.
Tesla head Elon Musk was speaking at a private function when the announcement was made, with the South African stating that “version two of the Powerwall [will launch] around July or August of this year”.
Musk said the new model will provide “moderate improvements” over the existing Powerwall, including a longer life cycle.
The current Powerwall uses batteries from Panasonic, but the new version will use cells built at Tesla’s Gigafactory, stated Engadget.
