Load-shedding is back – Here is the new schedule

Eskom has announced that load-shedding will return from 16:00 on Sunday.
Load-shedding will start with Stage 1 power cuts, which will run until 05:00 on Monday.
Stage 2 load-shedding will then take place until 16:00 on Monday, followed by alternating Stage 3 and Stage 1 power cuts in the evenings and day times respectively.

Eskom said that the return of load-shedding is due to a shortage of generation capacity – with unplanned outages currently at 17,270MW.
Approximately 5,300MW of generating capacity is expected to return to service over the course of the next week.
