Eskom updates load-shedding schedule – Stage 4 for the rest of the weekend
Eskom has announced that it is increasing load-shedding to Stage 4 from 20:00 on Saturday until 05:00 on Monday.
Previously, it had announced that South Africa would alternate between Stage 3 and no power cuts throughout this period.
The power utility explained that it needs to replenish the dam levels at its pumped storage power stations in preparation for the week ahead.
“Eskom will continue to monitor the power system closely, adjust and communicate the stages of loadshedding as required,” said Eskom.
The power utility will provide a schedule for the week ahead, on Sunday.
The load-shedding schedule for Saturday, 2 December and Sunday, 3 December, is provided in the table below.
