Eskom releases this week’s load-shedding schedule
Eskom has published the coming week’s load-shedding schedule, which includes load-shedding remaining suspended until 16:00 on Monday.
Thereafter, Eskom will repeat the following pattern until further notice:
- 16:00 to 05:00 – Stage 2 load-shedding
- 05:00 to 16:00 – No load-shedding
Eskom said these lower levels of load-shedding are thanks to the return of a few generating units to service since Friday.
“A further total of 2,200MW of generating capacity is anticipated to be returned to service by Wednesday,” said Eskom.
The power utility also said it has built up sufficient emergency reserves to support these levels of load-shedding.
