Eskom announces load-shedding for the week ahead

Eskom has announced the load-shedding schedule for the upcoming week.

Stage 2 load-shedding will be implemented from 16:00 today (Sunday 24 March) until 05:00 tomorrow morning.

Then, from 05:00 until 16:00, load-shedding will be suspended.

This pattern will repeat until further notice – and is illustrated below.

• 00:00 to 05:00 – Stage 2
• 05:00 to 16:00 – No load-shedding
• 16:00 to 24:00 – Stage 2

Eskom said it has implemented load-shedding for the coming week to replenish its emergency reserves.

It will communicate with the public should any significant changes occur to the national grid.
