New Vumatel fibre-to-the-home suburbs announced

Five Gauteng suburbs are joining the growing list of Vumatel fibrehoods in South Africa.
The new suburbs are Emmarentia, Forest Town, Parktown, Gallo Manor, and Melrose.
Vumatel said Northcliff, Sharonlea, Hyde Park, and Olivedale will also get fibre-to-the-home access in 2016.
Currently, Vumatel network services are available in Parkhurst, Parktown North, Greenside, Killarney, Riviera and Saxonwold, and Parkwood.
In addition, Vumatel is currently laying fibre in Blairgowrie, Victory Park, Linden, Hurlingham, Glenadrienne, Willowild, Riepen Park, Bryanston and Emmarentia.
“This is an extremely exciting period for the company, and we continue to focus on our commitment to deploy affordable, high-speed FTTH to 100,000 homes by the end of 2016,” said Vumatel CEO Niel Schoeman.
