MTN is rolling out fibre-to-the-home services across the country, and will soon launch new FTTH products with lower prices.
Mamello Selamolela, general manager for FTTX and Digital Solutions at MTN, said the company is growing its fibre footprint in Gauteng, the Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, and the Eastern Cape.
MTN’s FTTH network already passes 9,000 homes across the country, and this number is set to increase rapidly with the company’s new network roll-outs.
Selamolela said they plan to launch new FTTH products soon, which will offer lower prices than their current packages.
While MTN is still evaluating the feasibility of uncapped FTTH packages, Selamolela said their new products will cater to high-end users by offering them high monthly data caps.
