The FTTH Council Africa said its executive committee has elected Andile Ngcaba as the new president of the organisation.
Andile Ngcaba follows Richard Came, an industry heavyweight with investment in fibre companies like DFA and Vumatel.
Came will remain involved in the organisation, and will head up an advisory committee on investment with Brandon Doyle.
“I am happy that the organisation of which I was a co-founder is in capable hands. Andile is well positioned to take it to the next level and is complemented by a strong board”, said Came.
Ngcaba is the chairman of Convergence Partners, and also has several fibre investments, including in FibreCo, Seacom, and CSquared.
“I am delighted that my colleagues have placed their confidence in me for this challenging and significant role,” said Ngcaba.
Juanita Clark remains CEO of the organisation.
