Smart TV, ADSL deal – Samsung takes action

Samsung TV special

Samsung is taking action to ensure that that consumers will benefit from a promotion where anyone buying a Samsung Smart TV will get 1TB of free Vox Telecom ADSL data.

Vox Telecom and Samsung previously announced that from 12 May 2014, every Samsung Smart TV purchased through participating retailers will come with “1 million free MBs of data”.

According to the two companies, the data is worth R5,000, which means that it offers significant value to anyone purchasing a Samsung Smart TV.

However, many salespeople at outlets selling Samsung Smart TV’s said that consumers will not get free data with their purchase.

Samsung said that this information is not correct, and is taking steps to remedy the situation.

“We have investigated this incident and have found that in some channels the floor sales people have insufficient information pertaining to this offer,” said Samsung.

“We are taking corrective action to rectify this situation to ensure that all sales people are adequately informed on this initiative.”

Samsung said that as a matter of urgency, they will refresh the trade-marketing campaign, especially within their flagship stores, to ensure that consumers receive clear and concise communication regarding available promotions.

“Please note that Samsung Smart TV buyers can conveniently redeem this special offer by simply entering the MAC address on the Vox website,” the company said.

Step by step instructions are available on the Samsung website.
