Dell Venue 8: the world’s thinnest tablet

The Dell Venue 8 7000 Series Android tablet was unveiled recently, which Dell claims is the world’s thinnest tablet.

Michael Dell demonstrated the Dell Venue 8 at the Intel Developer Forum recently, saying that it will launch in the coming months.

The Dell Venue 8 sports an Intel Atom Z3500 series Moorefield processor and an 8.4” OLED touch screen with a 2560×1600 resolution. At just 6mm thick, Dell claims that this is the world’s thinnest tablet.

The tablet features Intel RealSense, which allows users to control their device without the need to touch the screen.

Users can also “naturally manipulate and play with scanned 3D objects using our hand-and-finger-sensing technology”.
