Apple leaks iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 3 info

Apple appears to have spoiled its own big reveal by accidentally posting information about the soon-to-be announced iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3.
The leak happened through an iOS 8.1 user guide which was released on iTunes prematurely (the guide has since been pulled).
According to screenshots from the guide, courtesy of 9to5mac.com, many of the previously rumoured features have been confirmed, including the addition of the touch ID sensor home button on both models.
The leaked screenshots offer very little information in the way of technical specifications and other features one can expect from Apple’s new range of tablets.
However, the images reveal that the iPad Mini 3 will have an iSight camera, and text descriptions mention “Burst Mode” for the iPad Air 2.
Apple is expected to announce the new devices at an event today (16 October 2014, 10h00 PDT, 19h00 local time). It has also been reported that the tech giant will possibly unveil a new Mac operating system and new Mac computers.
9to5mac.com speculates that the launch of iOS 8.1 – which includes the new Apple payment service, Apple Pay – will coincide with the iPad’s ‘big reveal’ at the event.
