Apple launches new iPod touch

Apple has launched the “best iPod touch yet”, the company has announced.

The new iPod touch features an 8MP iSight camera, an improved FaceTime HD camera, Apple’s A8 chip with “10-times faster graphics performance”, and an improved fitness tracker with the M8 motion coprocessor.

The iPod touch also features a 4-inch Retina display.

“iPod touch gives customers around the world access to Apple Music, the App Store, and iOS – the world’s most advanced mobile operating system – starting at just $199,” said Apple.

US pricing for the new iPod touch is as follows:

• 16GB – $199
• 32GB – $249
• 64GB – $299
