Lexus has shown off its recently-unveiled hoverboard in action, with testers taking the device around a skatepark.
The board is part of its “Amazing in Motion” projects. Lexus said its SLIDE hoverboard uses a combination of liquid nitrogen-cooled superconductors and permanent magnets.
Lexus has been developing the hoverboard for the past 18 months, Gizmodo reported.
Much like other hoverboards in development, such as the Hendo Hoverboard which was Kickstarted in 2014, the SLIDE requires a metal surface to hover on.
